DelSheree Press is a mentorship-based publisher that works with new writers to fully develop their craft and novels before sharing them with the world.
The press was founded in 2026 by DelSheree Spinner, whose first book was independently published in 2010 and who subsequently worked with various traditional publishers over the course of her writing career before returning to full-time independent publishing. After many years of teaching writing and publishing classes and working one-on-one clients, she decided to turn her attention toward developing a small press that focused on developing new writers who had limited access to professional creative writing and publishing experts.
The process of selecting an author to work with diverges from the traditional query process. Applying for publication with DelSheree Press involves a multi-stage process where candidates are evaluated based on story potential, willingness to collaborate, and a one-on-one interview with the publishing team. Submissions open once per year, and are announced on the blog.
